The first session lasts 1 hour for an individual, or 90 minutes for 2 or more family members. We will talk about your goals, your concerns and what you want to accomplish through our sessions. We will work together to get a clear picture of your current nutritional intake and discuss your food preferences. I will provide an overview of healthy nutrition, and begin tailoring a program to fit your needs.
We can meet at a local health store, a local coffee shop, or any other quiet convenient location.
Basic follow up sessions usually last 30 - 45 minutes. If you sent your child to a private coach or teacher to increase their proficiency in music or sports, you wouldn’t have them go for only one session. Health coaching is no different. Health takes time – it is a process. During follow-up sessions, we will discuss your progress, issues, or situations that have come up since we last met, and review your goals. We may discuss strategies for eating out, snacking while traveling, how to get your picky eater to consume veggies, how to adjust your favorite recipes for healthier eating, etc. For the highest benefit, we should schedule follow-up sessions every other week for the first 2 months, then monthly follow-up sessions until you feel you have accomplished what you set out to do.
Custom Follow-up Sessions
Custom Follow-up Sessions last 30 to 90 minutes. These may include a pantry/refrigerator assessment, discussion of cooking techniques, or meetings with other family members. We might also assess your health status via hair analysis. With over 15,000 new food products being introduced to supermarkets each year, grocery shopping can be overwhelming at times. On a grocery store visit we will review food labels, and find products and foods that are rich in nutrients to meet your individual or family nutrition goals.
Nutritional Guidance for Children
When meeting with your children, we might discuss:
- What they do and don’t like to eat
- Nutritious options to meet those likes/dislikes.

- Education on how food impacts school work, appearance, and energy levels.
- Address social issues - "being cool and healthy”
- Nutrition for optimal sports performance
Basic Follow-up Visits can be conducted via skype.

You will be informed of the cost of this type of billing and it will only be applied if you agree to the charge at the outset.
